We are in the final week of preparations for the opening weekend of the 2012 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Season! There is a great deal of work to do yet to get the truck and all of the off road gear in top notch condition, but we are excited and ready to launch into this new season.
A beefed up Pro-Lite truck with an 8 cylinder V8 transmission should keep our truck out in front and allow Austin to finish strong without mechanical difficulties. Our team is working hard to give him every advantage we can. With another year of driving under his belt, Austin will be in great shape to be on the podium every time.
We sure hope you can make it to the opening weekend March 30 and April 1st out at Firebird Raceway - it makes all the difference when our fans are in the stands! Also, a special shout out once again to our sponsor, Kimbrell Electric, a commercial electrical contractor business that has been serving businesses in Phoenix for over a decade.
Don't forget to check over on Facebook for the last ticket giveaway before opening weekend so that you can enter to win tickets for Round 2 on Sunday. Hope to see you this weekend, and thanks for your support!
We are tackling the 2012 season head on, focused on the Pro Lite Unlimited category. The Pro Lite has had a major overhaul, with a serious upgrade from a 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder V8 automatic transmission. We think this gives us one of the top off road trucks out there, and plan on finishing every race with very few mechanical problems.
Couple that with another successful year of experience under Austin's belt, we believe this is going to be a powerhouse season for Austin Kimbrell and Kimbrell Racing. As mentioned in previous posts, Austin and the Kimbrell Racing team are working hard to be ready, with now just a little over a month to go before opening rounds 1 and 2 at Firebird International Raceway ( @FirebirdRaceway ) on March 31st and April 1st. You can get more info on our website at
www.kimbrellracing.com. Of course, we sure hope you can make it!

We are so very excited about the 2012 race season! We kick off the season on March 31st and April 1st on our home turf at Firebird Internatinal Raceway, one of the finest off road truck racing courses to compete on in the country. For us, the stands are filled with our fans, friends, and family, so we have great support and want to be at the top of our game for everyone who turns out to support us.
As we mentioned in a previous blog, we are swapping out the engines to minimize the mechanical difficulties of last season, making sure we have the top off road trucks out on the course. Our team continues to work hard behind the scenes to get us ready to get out in front and stay out in front race after race, and Austin can hardly wait to get behind the wheel.
As we move closer to the race, we will be running some great contests on Facebook for great Kimbrell off road gear, tickets to the off road madness, and pit passes, etc. Be sure you are staying on our fan page, so

As we turn the corner into 2012, we are excited about the potential the new year holds, and hope you are excited about yours as well! We are privileged to be able to do something we love, off road truck racing, one of the most exciting sports on the planet. We are also blessed to have great family support during the off road madness, and wonderful fans that support our extreme off road endeavors.
We are getting prepped for the 2012 season, working on sponsor procurement, getting our trucks into top notch shape, and planning out our schedules to accommodate the new 2012 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing schedule. If you haven't seen it, it is posted on our website at
http://www.kimbrellracing.com/scheduleIf you saw the last rounds of the season of the season, Round 15 Challenge Cup, you will understand how optimistic we are for our 2012 season. Austin took 1st in the Super Lite in Round 14 and 3rd in Round 15. This past year as a rookie in both the Pro Lite and Super Lite, Austin has been aggressive, fearless, and always gunning for top spot. We are looking for even stronger performances in 2012.

The Super-Lite Championship extreme off road racing is more fun than any driver and his truck should be allowed to have! Because of this organization's commitment to racing, guys like me get to show up and do what we love... drive!
According to their website, "The SuperLite Championship delivers all-inclusive off road racing through its highly-competitive Arrive & Drive race program. Racing every round of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) and Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Regional Glen Helen short course race schedule as well as high-profile, stadium-style invitational races that boast motosports legends and action sports superstars, the SuperLite Championship engages major brands that thrive upon comprehensive adrenaline-driven package. "
I like the "adrenaline-driven package" part, and just wanted to say thank you for the racing platform they provide, and their focus on drivers and race fans. We are still battling for this championship, and are in good position in the top ten. Looking forward to Glen Helen to keep moving up! Please check out the Super-Lite Championship website with the section on Kimbrell Racing at:
www.superlitechampionship.com/drivers/austin-kimbrell and of course stop by their Facebook page and tell them thanks for doing what they do, so I can do what I do... :-)

We are tuning up the trucks getting ready for Glen Helen, so what about the engine? It takes guts AND horsepower to get out in front in 4 x 4 racing. Our racing engine is built by Kroyer Racing Engines. Top off road trucks have to muscle through the mud to get it done, and our Kroyer engine definitely gets it done. They have been building championship racing engines for over a decade, and have over thirty titles to prove it. I, for one, am glad we are using their horsepower to power our off road equipment as we battle it out in the Lucas Oil Off Road Series.
Be sure to text AUSTIN to 24453 for live race updates, and come hang out with Kimbrell Racing on Twitter and Facebook. Thanks for your awesome support!
